Adult Dance Class

This is Stefani....my dance teacher! She has done a great job with all of us who haven't danced in a very long time. It has been great fun to dance again!

On the left is Ellie & her baby Lily. She is Naomi's Ballet teacher & on the right is Alexis & her baby Adilynn....Naomi's other dance teacher and owner of Front & Center Dance Academy

Across the back is Me, Gloria, Natasha, Sara & Stefani. In the front is Ellie & Alexis. Our little group!!!!

When Alexis posted that they would be starting an Adult dance class in Jan. I hesitated to join because it had been over 17 years since I danced. But after going back and forth with the idea....I decided what the heck....I'll do it. I have loved every practice! I have embarressed myself in front of these ladies, but have learned so much. I am so glad that I have had this opportunity to dance again. Dance was my love when I was young....and I have found that there's still a huge part of me that still likes to get out there and let go. It doesn't come easy anymore that's for sure, & it can be frustrating doing things like simple turns that make me feel clumsey, but it's coming back, slowly but surely. I now appreciate watching Naomi dance....and find myself being less of a critique to her now. Our group will be performing in the end of year recital this year. Wish us luck & pray hard for us. We'll need all of it! It's hard people!!!

I love you Mom

Today Darrick and I had to run some errands around town and Nathan wanted to join us. We stopped at our bank and Darrick ran inside. Here's how the conversation went between Nate and I:

Mom: I love you Nate

Nate: I love you too

Mom: I love you more!

Nate: I love you more than anything....and you can't love me more than that.

Nate sat there smiling like he had won that round when all of a sudden he said....
Mom, did you know that there are over 50 languages in the world? And I love you in all of them!!

I am so glad to know that my little boy loves me in all the languages out there. I am posting this on the blog because I don't want to forget this moment. How sweet he is....he is my one child who is not embarrassed to hide his feelings or share his thoughts. Thanks for making my day the BEST Nate!!!!

Easter Day

Happy Easter everyone!!! We had a great time with family, and eating chocolate!!! I'm grateful for this time of year to reflect on the Resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ and the true meaning of this holiday.

Kylie all grown up!

Isn't she beautiful? This is Kylie before her date got there to pick her up for the Jr. Prom.

She couldn't reach her shoes over her poofy dress. Mom came to the rescue.

Kim & Kylie or Mother & Daughter.

Naomi, Kylie & I. We need to teach Kim how to take pictures!!!! It's blurry Kim! :)

Kylie with date Jake. Yes, she did pin his bootineer (I know I probably misspelled that word, but spelling check didn't have anything either....so sound it out) on all by herself. hehe.
It was so much fun to see her before the dance and see her all grown up. We love Kylie and have watched her become such a beautiful girl over the years. What would we do without the Bronk family in our lives?

Easter Egg Hunt!

A neighbor of ours hides 1,000 eggs each year for the kids in our neighborhood to find. The boys had so much fun being there this year. The age cut off is 11, which makes it fun for all the kids participating.

Game Night!

"Clue" was the game of choice this week. Who do you think figured out the clue's to the murder? Darrick did of course!!! :)

Shay was not happy about the game choice, but ended up having a ton of fun when he learned how to play. Nate is happy for anything. The kid is so easy to please.

Naomi is happy too!

And this was after a long day......coloring easter eggs....& having family game night. Bruiser thought he would join me in sleep!

Coloring Easter Eggs

Friday evening we colored our Easter Eggs & had a game night as a family. We had a great time doing both. The kids try and get more creative each year while coloring their eggs. Sometimes their new ideas work & sometimes they don't, but they always try to out do one another. It's funny how they get so worked up about how many eggs their going to get. I like to at least color one egg myself and find myself giving my eggs away to the kids! Shay is our counter. He knows exactly how many eggs there are.....and how many each of them should get. He leaves Dad and I out of the count, so he always has to redo his numbers. Dad likes to color Easter Eggs too and I think he secretly counts out the eggs too....finding out how many he will have to color!

Provo 5K Run

I loaded these pics. backwards, but as you have seen Darrick won a medal!!! He placed 1st in his age division and 14th overall in men & 17th overall (including women) Way to go Darrick. He ran this 5K in 20:19. I wish I could run the way he does. I am so proud of him. You would never guess that he hardly ever gets out to run!

Here's Darrick running into the finish!!!!

Here's the kids waiting for their Dad's to finish. My two boys look like they're going to fall asleep!!!! We did have to rise early for the race. :) In the middle is Emma, our friends daughter. She came to see her Dad (mark) run the 5K too.

Darrick & Mark before the race.

Darrick posing!!! haha
