Rowley Farms Pumpkin Patch

Today we thought it would be a perfect day to visit the pumpkin patch. It was sunny and warm! Usually we are all bundled up in coats and gloves picking out our pumpkins each year. We have gone to different spots over the years but this year we went back to Rowley Farms. I think it's the best pumpkin patch by far and the cheapest price if you can believe that. You take a hayride out to the pumpkins where they drop you off to find your pumpkins and then you can return on whatever trailer/tractor that comes your way. When we got there this afternoon the parking lot was full, but we actually got right on the hayride after only a few minutes of waiting and then headed back on the next hayride that came by. It didn't take long for the kids to find their pumpkins. They were out to find the biggest ones. Luckily for us the price doesn't go over $7 per pumpkin. One of the restrictions at first was that the kids could only pick out ones that they could carry. After finding their pumpkins....that "first restriction" only applied to Naomi. Shay and Nate lucked out by having Dad along to carry theirs.

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions......Where is the BIGGEST pumpkin?

How do you think they did?

The pumpkins are now placed on the front porch waiting for the day they'll be carved. I am grateful for these kinds of days that we have to be together as a family and to do an activity that becomes a tradition. Everything was Perfect today!

How would it be to actually pick a pumpkin from the patch? We bought ours today at the grocery store in the 90 degree weather! Gotta love the desert! You know you miss it!

Looks like you guys had a fun time. You will have to take pictures once you get them carved. We are always looking for new ideas.
